SUMMARY:2020-2021 State Council Meeting #1
DESCRIPTION:Out of concern for the health and well-being of our members and
  their families during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the resulting soc
 ial distancing guidelines\, the first meeting of the Pennsylvania State Co
 uncil of Lions Clubs’ 2020-2021 Council of Governors will be held as a Z
 oom videoconference Saturday\, August 1\, starting at 1 p.m.. \n\nThe Ho
 nors Night Banquet originally scheduled for Friday\, July 31\, at the Red
  Lion Hotel Harrisburg Hershey has been cancelled\, as has the “Lunch an
 d Learn” event sponsored by the Northeast PA Lions Service Foundation sc
 heduled for Saturday\, August 1.\n\nThe Zoom videoconference meeting sche
 dule for Saturday\, August 1\, will include functions normally part of a 
 state convention schedule but which were postponed due to the cancellation
  of the 2020 convention in Erie. The schedule will be as follows:\n\n 	1 p
 .m.– Presentation of Leader Dogs for the Blind “Top Dog” awards.\n 	
 1:05 p.m.– Presentation of 2019-2020 MD-14 Leo of the Year Award. \n 	1
 :10 p.m.– Recognition of the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 Council of Governor
 s (condensed version of previous years’ Honors Banquets).\n 	1:30 p.m.
 – Induction of the 2019-2020 Council of Governors into the PA Counsellor
 s organization.\n 	2 p.m.– First 2020-2021 State Council meeting.\n\nAn 
 agenda for the August 1 videoconference along with the link by which you
  can connect to the videoconference will be sent out once they have been f
 inalized. \n\nAll committee chairpersons and/or coordinators who will hav
 e an Action Item for State Council to consider during the August 1 videoc
 onference must submit that item in written form to the State Office no lat
 er than Wednesday\, July 15\, 2020. Any Action Item received after that d
 ate may\, at the discretion of the Council of Governors\, be tabled until 
 the second 2020-2021 State Council meeting. Committee chairpersons/coordin
 ators with Action Items must be present or have a representative participa
 te in the videoconference. All oral committee reports to State Council sho
 uld be limited to 3-5 minutes.\n\nCommittee chairpersons and/or coordinato
 rs who do not have Action Items for State Council to consider are also enc
 ouraged to have their written reports submitted to the State Office by Ju
